Video Projects

College Work
The first two videos I want to display were completed during my years at Elon University, for multiple communications and cinema courses. The video "The Salience In Serenity" was created as an independent short film, for a communications course where our assignment was to create a video that shows a current struggle in your life. This video conveys themes of isolation and loneliness and is about how taking a break from work and clearing your head is essential to mental health improvement. The second video, "The Search", was created as a group project during a cinema and television arts course. In this assignment, we had free reign to create an independent short film. This film delves into themes of relationship struggles and envy. Both films were edited with Adobe Premiere Pro.
The last two projects I want to show from college were also made for communications courses and edited using a mix of Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie, and Adobe Audition. The first project is a podcast episode I created about my experience growing up at summer camp. The assignment was to create a professional-sounding podcast episode on a topic you are passionate about. I enjoyed this project because it was one of the first times I exclusively worked with audio editing software and audio recording equipment like the Zoom H3 recorder. The last video was a simple PSA commercial I created for a freshman journalism course. This assignment was to create a 30-second PSA on a topic of choice.

High School Work
The last three videos I want to show were created in high school. These three videos are news packages, that were shown during our weekly high school news program "WJPS News: The Highlight". This program was the gateway to my love of the media industry and I was very involved with it, from creating news packages to anchoring different shows. With my packages, I tried to highlight small businesses, school events, and interesting places. Although the videos are quite choppy and juvenile by professional standards, I wanted to include them here because they illustrate the beginning of my learning experience in the world of media, and how I have and will continue to grow in this industry. These were some of my favorite packages I did, but there are far more on my YouTube channel to explore, linked below.
